On My WIN 98 SE computer the modem dials OK and makes connections to the ISP
which after the log-on process is visible bij the little green Icon placed in the system tray area. Yet every time I try to surf with IE 6 to an internet page, it is not available (site not found message). No matter which internet page, it is not available. Also OE can not connect to the email box, even though I can see the little green connection light flickering. Eventually I disconnected the connection, reboot the computer and try again, but with the same results. So something is stopping IE and OE to connect, but what ? Any changes in the registry necessary ? I runn Xsoftspy and Antivir to find any malicious software but to no avail. -- Pieter |

I am on broadband and have a similar problem. I can download emails in OE and
AV updates occurr but IE (and mozilla) will not connect to the internet. It used to be OK. Would be interested in the solution.
