Just wondering if anyone else is havings same problems as I, and if anyone
knows of a fix? I am running XP home SP2, IE 6... I am using McAfee firewall and virus scan... Ok, I have been away from home on business for about 6 months, of course in that time i had security updates and such waiting to be installed from microsoft. Everything has worked great, until I installed these updates. Now, I can browse, but at some point, all open IE windows and, windows explorer windows freeze, then I get a not responding message, for a single open window, I end now, and all windows even those in the task bar, close, and my screen is wiped clean from top to bottom. After about 1 minute everything on my desktop reappears, and then I can restart everything just fine, except I have lost everything I didn't get saved. This only seems to occur when I am using IE. It does not appear to do this, when I am not using IE. I am currently, up to date on virus and spyware programs, when I run those, they turn up nothing. I have no extra toolbars installed. I have tried system restore and can only restore back to the time AFTER I intalled the last updates from microsoft. Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you |
