Internet explorer 6 is blocking all downloads that i try to do. ex from cnet.
tucows, etc..even from microsoft's website. Usually i get a error saying you might have to click on the explorer bar to allow the download but no explorer bar shows up. This is a new computer and it did work for about a week but now it has stop working. I installed mozilla to see if i could get around the problem and it does allow me to download but this does not help me with microsoft because they block you from using mozilla for there downloads. Please help ...thank you. |

Hi,
just a guess, but try this easy step first... The default size setting of the Temporary Internet Files is much too large. So, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) Be patient- deleting those files may take a couple of minutes. Then use the Settings button to limit the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder to about 50 MB. - - Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "mcgillcom" <mcgillcom[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2C51374D-5D45-4784-8F9A-C1B0D7BDD02E@microsoft.com... > Internet explorer 6 is blocking all downloads that i try to do. ex from cnet. > tucows, etc..even from microsoft's website.
