Hope someone can direct me here. I need to download a full installation of
ie6. I'm rebuilding a laptop for my neice. It has 98SE on it and I'm trying to install a wireless adapter which requires IE 5.5 or higher. I can't get to the internet without the adapter and the Microsoft downloads just give the 769KB setup file. Is there a place or means within Microsoft to do the full download. thysanks |

Thanks for the quick reply. I had seen the link to order the CD but was
trying to do something this evening and hoped there was a site where I could download it in full, write it out to a CD and install it on her machine "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE" wrote: > "cvs3" <cvs3@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:11DA8850-7565-490C-A89E-72E15D01BCA7@microsoft.com > > Hope someone can direct me here. Thanks for the help. I seem to have a slight problem tho. I have a downloads folder, copied the command line and pasted it into the run statement box. From there I got the license agreement, indicated to download to \downloads\ie6 folder and it seems to go nowhere. Any idea what might be happening? By the way, thanks for the link to that site carl "GJ.Oomens" wrote: > cvs3 wrote: > > Hope someone can direct me here. I need to download a full installation of > > ie6. Order the CD from them. Have you tried an XP install CD? 2nd option is install optional components on my copy, IE is in that list. Disable the other items and try it. I haven't tried but its not install XP itself, its optional items so may work. Unless any has knowledge to the contrary? |
