The error message states: The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate application. Ever since this error message first came up I cannot use anything to do with Internet Explorer now, including IE. Every time I go to use this browser, I get the same message as above even after I re-downloaded it, uninstalled, re-installed it, etc. Can somebody solve this problem?? Thanks in advance |

Still a typo?
Do you really mean IEXPLORE.EXE ? If so, you might look through these unless someone comes up with a definitive answer: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=ie...s_ maxy=2005& ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.org/index.html On Mon, 12 Dec 2005 12:19:50 -0800, "A-Train" <ATrain@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >sorry, the subject title should read: IEXLORE.EXE -Application Error >sorry for the typo > >"A-Train" wrote: > >> The error message states: The application failed to initialize properly >> (0xc0000005). Thanks in advance Go to Start | Run and type regedit and press <Enter>. In the left column navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\RPCKDM] and highlight it. Right click it and select Export, giving it a name you can remember. Then right click it again and select Delete. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only. Frank,
Thanks so much! This worked perfectly. Although I didn't export the line, just deleted the bad registery entry. I searched the Microsoft site all day through the crummy Real Media browser and got nowhere. Then right click it again and select Delete. This happened to me while I was surfing. After numerous sfc /scannow, anti-virus scans, & anti-spyware scans during the past 2 weeks, I was resigned to using Firefox. The reg deletion fixed it for me, too. Odd that no tool fixed it. |
