Default slow loading websites

I have two websites that take forever to download. They may take up to an
hour to load without timing out. I have my son's computer set up through a
wireless router and they won't load on his either. At my daughter's they load
quickly with no problem. I even got in touch with one of the sites support
teams, thinking it was them. But no one seems to have this problem but me.
I have emptied all internet files. cookies, and history, defraged the hard
drive. The sites will eventually download(up to an hour later), but if I click
on a link to redirect me, I have to wait again.
Can anyone help me?

Hi,

A guess: it might be your HOSTS file. Look for it and rename it to
hosts.old. Reboot.

More info on the HOSTS file at http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Kind regards

Host files?
Where can I find these?
I did a search on the computer and had over 300 come up.
Thanks,
Maisie

Ok, I found the hosts file in I386 and changed it to hosts.old.
But the website still won't come up.
there is a host.mib and on host.mib.mi_, and another lmhost.
I never have an easy problem lol. They are always so complicated.
