I got an email (and responded to it) that I couldn't quite figure out who it was from or what it was about. Now I know. You did try malware scanning? In safe mode with the latest definitions? I'd strongly guess that's the reason if a repair installation of IE did not effect and removal of the BHOs wasn't the problem either. It may be that you need to dig even deeper I'm afraid: HijackThis Tutorial: http://aumha.org/a/hjttutor.php When you understand that (and it's not that hard - that's just there for the people who really want to get into it deeply) then post a copy of your log here: http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30 BEFORE you post your log make SURE to read the Announcement at the top of the page AND read the second sticky down about making good use of their free time. -- Galen - MS MVP - Windows (Shell/User & IE) http://dts-l.org/ "My life is spent in one long effort to escape from the commonplaces of existence." - Sherlock Holmes |
