Default URL-problem when using portnumber

Hello,

When passing an url to IE from an application, the url is stripped off
from the portnumber on
ie: http://www.google.be:800/internet/index.html becomes
http://www.google.be
Anyone an idea why this happens ?
This happens on one particular machine. What setting is creating this
behaviour ?

Any help is welcome ...

thanx

Yes. Do you have a real example?

<test>
F:\>telnet www.google.be 800
Connecting To www.google.be...Could not open connection to the host, on port 800: Connect failed
</test>
