When I restart my computer and then I click on the IE button, it takes
forever to open up, is there something I can do to quicken the process. I have 448mb of ram. |

Anything you try to do during that period does take a lot of time. If you wait five minutes after booting, is it still that slow? --- Replace you know what by j to email |

Do you run spy sweeper? And did you just update Java? If so they seem to be
creating a problem together. If you have spy sweeper, turn off the active x protection in spy sweeper and your problmes should go away. If you don't have either - please just disregard this message. When I updated Java to 6.0 I had the same problem. It put a BHO in IE. Go to tools, Manage addons, and see if there is something like ssvt or similar. I deleted it and that sped things back up, BUT, I then couldn't access some java sites. So I googled for the old version 5 of Java, installed it, and all is fine once again. >When I restart my computer and then I click on the IE button, it takes >forever to open up, is there something I can do to quicken the process.
