Default Google hijacked?

Norton Internet Security picked up a trojan but couldn't repair or delete in.
I quarantined and deleted it manually.

However, Google will now search for topics but the URL list generated sends
me to a website called prescriptionshed.net and thence to various casino
sites.

Norton, Ad-aware and Microsoft anti-spyware pick up no problems on scanning.

Excite will generate a similar URL list which works fine - to the same URLs.

I'm puzzled. Any ideas on how to clean out the Google problem?

best wishes

Google works fine for me - just tried it - so maybe it's not "the Google
problem".

More likely a local problem. It sounds like you still have some kind of
browser hijacker on board. Since Google is working just fine for me, here
is a useful link about an excellent hijackware finder:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
