Hi,
I used to get same problem. I reinstalled OS and tried but no luck. But When I disabled my proxy setting is IE "connection" tab and used SSL 2.0 only then Yahoo started working for me. Another workaround I found is log on to Yahoo Messenger first then get into e-mail.
