I'm using XP Home, SP2. I have 3 browsers: IE6, Netscape 7, & FireFox. I
use a dial up internet connection. Every time that I connect to the internet, IE6 automatically starts. Regardless what browser that I have set as the default, IE6 immediately starts in a new window. When I close that new window, a dialog box pops up saying that my connection will be terminated in 30 seconds, with choices to "Stay Online" or "Disconnect Immediately". This occurs even if I already have IE6 already running with an open window - another IE6 window opens with that result. Even if I have any, all or none of the browsers open. Every time. How can I stop this from happening? How can I stop IE6 from automatically launching whenever I connect to the internet? |
