Hi,
I usually didn't want to install QuickTime, because it sets itself as default play of different files in IE without even asking you. Pain in the A**** I had to install it. Because of iTunes. Now, every link i click the browser, being .mp3, .mpg, .mpeg opens within the browser, and... through QuickTime. Get this, when i try to use QuickTime Save As to achieve the same result as Windows Media's Save As, I am told that the Free version that i have does NOT allow Save As. I have to buy paid version!!!!!!!!!!! UGggg.!!! Changing files associations in WMP works well when i launch the video locally. But when clicked on a link, it does not work. Has anybody found a way around this ? I think people from QuickTime should really be sued... Tascien |

Open the QuickTime Player, go to Edit Menu, Preferences, File Types. Uncheck
ALL file types except Apple/QuickTime files. Uncheck the box that reads, "Notify me if...". As far as the 'Save As' issue, this is Apple's way of encouraging you to pay $30 for QuickTime Pro. I think that should do it. -- ------------------------------------------ Donny Broome http://www.broomeman.com/tech/ ------------------------------------------ <tascienu@ecoaches.com> wrote in message news:1136438215.017947.38820@g49g2000cwa.googlegro ups.com... > Hi, > > I usually didn't want to install QuickTime, because it sets itself as > default play of different files in IE without even asking you.
