Hi,
Recently I installed the free version of Kazaa. This was a bad move and I removed it quick. But now there is a websearch area that has attached iteself to the address toolbar in IE6. Also there is an area to search files on the standard toolbar as well. I cannot remove them as it is there when I show the address bar? How do I remove this annoying thing, it is adware and I dont want it. I have done a System File checker, its running now. Thanks in advance, Ryan |

Hi,
First check Add/remove programs. You may get lucky. Occasionally (not often) hijackers like this have an uninstaller. A google search on the name of the toolbar/hijacker/malware may turn up specific removal instructions. Then download, update and run Ad-aware, Spybot and (if running WinXP) MS Anti-Spyware (Beta.)
