I don't have "URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocol" in my list of file types. I
have URL Gopher Protocol and URL: Hpertext Transfer Prtocol with Privacey and URL:File Transfer Protocol. I changed all of these applications to "c:\program files\internet.explorer\iexplore.exe" but I still can't open any links. EXCEPT -- while trying to work through this I opened an account with the Microsoft Passport Network; they sent me an e-mail and their links open when I click on them. Thanks for the help! Your problem is the missing "URL:Hypertext Transfer Protocol" which is
for http links (regular web pages). The ones that worked from Password are likely https links which is the "with Privacy" file type for secure web pages (banking, shopping, etc.). The gopher file type is rarely used any more and the File Transfer Protocol (ftp) is only occasionally used. Try this article to see if the http file tripe will be recreated.
