I was on the phone with verizon for two hours yesterday, their people are
very nice, but they really don't repair the problem I had.....there is no way of telling if my sent letters are received, nor any history of a sent letter. |

Actually, the posting is easy enough to understand.
I have had both good and bad luck with verizon. Last year, good. This year, since they sent a lot of tech support off shore, it's going down hill. Still depends on who you talk to. What I do, is... try to ask some leading questions up front. If the guy sounds like he's completely lost, I excuse myself and call back for someone else. Unfortunately, this calling back process takes quite a bit of time when the hold time is long. I think she is talking about proving that they got her email. She needs to
request a received or read request. However, the request must ask the reader of the said email if its ok to send, so, that won't help her. As they can say, no way. So, only by way of the post office can she get the proof she wants. I am think she is wanting to know how to save emails to the sent folder---click options, send, and check the box that says save a copy . Really, Watson, it was quite simply to figger it out. Sherlock :-) "PA Bear" <PABearMVP@gmail.com> wrote in message news:eKOJxl%236FHA.3276@TK2MSFTNGP15.phx.gbl... > If you see this message, post back, Maryann. > > MARYANN TEVIS wrote: >> I was on the phone with verizon for two hours yesterday, their people are >> very nice, but they really don't repair the problem I had.....there is no >> way of telling if my sent letters are received, nor any history of a sent >> letter. |

rcn carries 0.verizon.email.discussion-general so I was able to look.
On Oct 2 there was one real (off topic) post, which on Nov. 17 got a nice two word response from Ding Dong. Everything else was spam. Maryann's problem certainly gets more attention in this newsgroup. I'd like to see a PA Bear-Maryann thread, so I want her to respond. "David H. RCN does NOT carry the 0.Verizon.* Hierarchy ! The 0.Verizon.* Hierarchy is a PRIVATE hierarchy that is only available to Verizon subscribers and only exists on the Verizon News Server. What you have on RCN is a faux Verizon News Group. You will notice there is'nt any 0.Verizon.* Hierarchy @ ftp://ftp.isc.org/pub/usenet/control/ MaryAnn /*can*/ access the News Group and News Server via the URL... news://news.verizon.net/0.verizon.em...ussion-general She will have to put in her credentials (Account & Password) for authentication. -- Dave http://www.claymania.com/removal-trojan-adware.html http://www.ik-cs.com/got-a-virus.htm |
