You *may* be able to import the data into Eudora. From there, you can
import it into OE. YMMV.

Address book - in Thunderbird export as LDIF type file, then import in OE.

Mail messages: the BEST way is to download and install Netscape Communicator
4.x
(get them here: http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/download/archive47x.jsp)
then copy all the mail files from your Thunderbird profile WITHOUT the
extension into your new Netscape profile. Open netscape and click on each
file to build the indices.
Then in OE just do an import.

BTW, I would be very interested as to WHY you are moving from TBird to OE?

I use OE for email instead of Thunderbird due to OE's ability to have
multiple signatures and its ability to always show the mailto: as
clickable. I also don't care for Thunderbird creating an Inbox, etc. for
each email account.

I use Thunderbird for news not because it's better than OE but because
it makes compacting a much longer experience (and therefor susceptible
to corruption) than without news.

There is an extension that will do multiple sigs. And the Mailto on my TBird
always HAS been clickable

The newer versions give you the option not to. (As default, at least in
1.06)

OE has it by default and I already know how to use it.

From some people it's clickable, from others it is not.
