Tnx a lot PA Bear!
OK I found hidden files my wab file. But the problem with the export-import persists. The OE Address Book has 4 fields (Name, email, Bus Phone, Home Phone). I tailored the csv file that I exported from OL mapping only these 4 fields, but the import to OE gave the same problem: all 4 fields together (as text separated by "")are going to one and only field of the OE address book. What I only managed to do is to import a csv file which has only one field, that of email address. This way I get an address book with only email addresses. This is already something for using my OE without copy-paste email addresses! Many thanks once more! stala "PA Bear" wrote: > With OE open, the keyboard combination CTRL+Shift+B will open your Address > Book. We've been assuming you've been talking about OL on one machine and OE on
another. If they're on one machine, OE may already be configured to share contacts with OL. Do you have this Registry key?... HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software \Microsoft \WAB \WAB4 If not, STOP; If so, is there a DWORD named UseOutlook (NB: no space) and is its value set to 1 (one)? If not, STOP; If so, Address Book is configured to share contacts with Outlook, even if you don't use it (can happen with the install of Office or Office Updates). Change the value to 0 (zero) and then try importing the CSV file. (If that DWORD is not present, don't create it, and don't alter any other DWORD values.) cf. http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm#share http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=191946 -- ~PA Bear stala wrote: > Tnx a lot PA Bear! > OK I found hidden files my wab file. > But the problem with the export-import persists. > The OE Address Book has 4 fields (Name, email, Bus Phone, Home Phone). Indeed I am talking about both programs in one machine. And OE is not
configured to share contacts with OL. After checking it looks like I have not the UseOutlook DWORD. So I have to assume that I must live with my problem?
