Try searching for the file msoert2.dll on your system. When you find it,
re-register it by going to the Start/Run line and type: reg c:\windows\system32\msoert2.dll You should get a message of successful completion, then reboot and see if it's fixed. If you do not find it on your system, post back for instructions on how to use the msconfig utility to extract a fresh copy from your installation media. If the filepath to the file differs from the one above, modify the information before inserting in the Start/Run line. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. tks Jim, I found it on my system and inserted the reg c: etc., after I hit
enter, the screened quickly went black and then back up to normal screen. So if msg. was showing, I missed it. I did reboot and it took quite a bit longer this time but eventually came back on. bill w "Jim Pickering" <jim.pickering@gmail.com> wrote in message news:uiFqxzg7FHA.3224@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Try searching for the file msoert2.dll on your system.
