Hi
anyone know of a registry fix so IE6 always opens maximized? Found a program on major geeks that does the job but I really don't want another app loading into my startup folder Thanks Pete -- remove xxx from email to reply |

There isn't really any way to do this.
What you can do is open a Single instance of IE, and drag it out to full screen (without using the maximise button) - then close the window. Next time you open IE it should open to the same size. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "¦" <vxze3qtgxix@verizon.net> wrote in message news:MNCff.936$BU2.744@trndny01... > Hi > anyone know of a registry fix so IE6 always opens maximized? > Found a program on major geeks that does the job but I really don't want > another app loading into my startup folder > Thanks > Pete > > -- > remove xxx from email to reply > |

If you mean from the IE icon you could set up a local homepage to set in the
homepage field, of course if a web site provides sizing data this won't help, depends how you use it. See example bottom of this page - try the example and see if that idea works http://www.charlietame.org/ie/windowsize.htm Charlie "¦" <vxze3qtgxix@verizon.net> wrote in message news:MNCff.936$BU2.744@trndny01... > Hi > anyone know of a registry fix so IE6 always opens maximized? > Found a program on major geeks that does the job but I really don't want > another app loading into my startup folder > Thanks > Pete > > -- > remove xxx from email to reply > |

I can't claim to have found it though - MVP PA Bear told me about it. -- Kath Adams MS MVP - Windows (Outlook Express) |
