Gremlin?

I clicked on my create mail icon this morning and experienced a problem.
First the message box has moved to top left hand corner of screen and is
smaller. Second the tool bar is faded out and does not work. For example
spell check.

Any help will be appreciated.

You may have a damaged identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create
a new one and test it. If all is well, you can import your messages from the
old identity and delete it.

Open a new message.
Drag the edges/corners to the size you want.
Drag the title bar to the location you want.
Close the window.
New messages should now open as you wish.
