Default Cannot Send Error from Outlook Express through Hotmail 0x800CCC35

I have Outlook Express 6, and SP2. Up until last week I was able to send my
mails using my HOTMAIL account [paid for] through Outlook Express. Now I get
this error message:
The server does not support the required HTTP methods. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Method Not Allowed', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC35

I have deleted the account and set it up again twice. No luck.

I can receive mail just fine.

Ideas?

This is an old KB article, but it is the only one that addresses your
problem:

Thankfully I have never had the problem despite having four MSN/Hotmail
accoutns in one OE identity (crosses fingers).

I *did* however have a problem after using Outlook 2003 that the
Outlook-Hotmail connector would munge things up in OE so that I was prompted
for my password everytime OE polled a Hotmail accouint (even though the
correct ones were already stored/saved in the account), This happened even
after I removed the accounts from Outlook and used only a single account in
OE.

My workaround at the time was to stop using OE for my Hotmail/MSN
accounts... not a very good solution. Since then I've reinstalled Windows
and haven't used Outlook 2003.
