When I send an e-mail with attachment, I receive the e-mail but without the
attachment.
Has this something to do with outlook or with norton anti virus/spam that
stops attachments. Who can help me?

Hi Andre,

Outlook Express can block access to attachments, but this does not strip an
attachment from a message. I'm not aware of a feature in Norton Anti-Virus
that would remove attachments unless a virus were found. You could test
delivery of a message with an attachment without enabling message scan. The
message scan feature (incoming and outgoing) can cause server connection
problems. This feature can safely not be used. Use only normal system
background scanning. Check your Norton configuration for any setting dealing
with attachments.

Another possibility is filtering by protection software provided by your
ISP.

Open OE. On menu bar, click on tools / options / security tab / uncheck
checkbox that says do not allow attachments to be
saved or opened that could be potentially be a virus. hth

OE does not strip attachments. It just plain does not do that. Norton
might, though. Turn off email scanning, it accomplishes nothing anyway.
(Besides screwing things up)

However, if you are sending images and using HTML, it may neglect to include
the attachment if an option is unchecked:

Go to Tools | Options | Send
Make sure that the HTML settings have the option checked to Send Pictures
with Messages.
