Friend with XP setting up OE e-mail for himself, his wife and child...all ok
but doesn't seem to be able to arrange Fast User Switching (Start/Control Panel/User Accounts/Change the way Users log on and off/Use Fast User Switching) because his McAfee Security Centre software throws up the note - "Suspicious script has been detected - the file mshta.exe contains suspicious scripting activity and has been stopped". So each time he switches User to wife or vic versa the line is dropped and they need to log on-line again each time. Anyone know anything about this...unsure what mshta.exe is - hope his system isn't infected?! Any advice appreciated. Thanks, John |

You said the magic word: McAfee. Dump it, and don't replace it with Norton,
or more problems will arise. I'd recommend AVG Free: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 or: http://www.grisoft.com/doc/40/lng/ww When prompted, choose Custom Installation and *uncheck* e-mail scanning when you see the option. Norton (and McAfee) products are not Outlook Express friendly, and I don't know of any OE-MVP that would recommend using them. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "John Smith" <OrmesbyJohn@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:dmfoth$vs9$1@news8.svr.pol.co.uk... > Friend with XP setting up OE e-mail for himself, his wife and child...all > ok but doesn't seem to be able to arrange Fast User Switching > (Start/Control Panel/User Accounts/Change the way Users log on and off/Use > Fast User Switching) because his McAfee Security Centre software throws up > the note - "Suspicious script has been detected - the file mshta.exe > contains suspicious scripting activity and has been stopped".
