When I download newsgroup files I only keep them for 45 days because of space issues. How would I search on the files that are older than the 45 days that are still on the news server? (Exp) I keep having the (xx) not downloaded happen when I download. I found the answer to this by going on the server and searching the newsgroup using the (xx) not downloaded. How would I do this from Outlook Express without going on the server with the browser? I'm sure this is about as clear as mud now. Tom G |

Your best bet is to use the Google archive of news posts etc: http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en Use each of the search options wisely. HTH? -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS] |

As mac indicated, search Google groups, as many servers don't have retention
time over 45 days (this one is 60, I think). steve "Tom G" <tgantzler(REMOVE THIS)@ispmonsters.com> wrote in message news:u%23OdXXS9FHA.648@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Steve Cochran" <scochran@oehelp.com> > Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress > Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2005 06:16 > Subject: Re: Search > > >> I'm not sure what you mean by files on the website, but if you go to >> Edit >> | Find you can search that way. >> >> steve >> >> "Tom G" <tgantzler(REMOVE THIS)@ispmonsters.com> wrote in message >> news:uLKZoTL9FHA.4076@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... >>> What do I need to do to search this newsgroup on files that are on >>> the >>> web site?
