Until today, I have used OE just for newsgroups. I had it set so that it
would only list my posts, and their replies, which was nice. However,
today, a client set me up with an account of theirs on OE and it works via
an IMAP server and, it seems that, now, I am seeing all posts to any given
newsgroup. Is there a way to return to that old newsgroup setting, but
still maintain the e-mail settings, or must they somehow be one and the
same?

It's OE 6.00 and IE 6, by the way.

I got that part already. But is there a way to save this as the default, so
when I re-open OE it will already be that way, yet still show the full
complement of e-mails.

The View settings are per folder. Select the folder that you want the
setting to apply to, then make the change.

There is no default view.
You get the view being used when the folder is closed.

I changed the view while in this newsgroup (my messages only), then closed
out of OE. Then, I opened OE again, went back to the newsgroup and, once
again, it showed all messages, not just mine. So, I must be confused or you
are not quite correct! Which is it?

The easiest way to apply that view is Ctrl+H, then use Ctrl+J to skip
through your groups.
