Default News Filter Issue

In another newsgroup a troll is posting using the From: line as simply the
letter "e", no quotes. If I set a filter to delete his email addy and the
letter e, the filter seems to block anything with the letter e in it.
Obviously that simply blocks too many users. Is there perhaps a better way
to filter that out or is this gonna be a limitation using OE filters?

Take a look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3) for one of his messages, if
you haven't already. The OE message list shows just the Friendly name.
The message source would show any e-mail address in addition. If there
is more than just the "e" you can filter on that.

Otherwise, you could create a rule where the From line does NOT contain
'a' or 'b' or 'c' or 'd' or 'f' .... (everything but the letter 'e')

If I've got my logic right, that will filter out anyone whose from does
not contain at least one letter other than an 'e'.
