Hi all
I have posted this problem before and have had no solution so I thought I'd
try again

I used to use BubbaNews and/or TerraNews to download messages for a fonts
newsgroup but since quite some time this no longer works (I have no idea why
or what caused this - nothing changed on my PC) - for any of their
newsgroups BTW.

This is the note I get from Outlook after it attempts to download (it does
connect and authorise and then it gives me 1 message only): (for bubbanews I
get the same, just bubbanews in the Account/Server)

Outlook Express was unable to retrieve all headers from the newsgroup

420 XOVER 233456198 - 233456396 alt.binaries.fonts

Configuration:
Account: free.teranews.com /
Server: free.teranews.com
User name: gecko_drea
Protocol: NNTP
Port: 119
Secure(SSL): 0
Error Number: 420
Code: 800cccac

Yes, I can access the newsgroup via IE but it is cumbersome and would really
like this solved!

While none of them may have resolved your problem, you were offered several
solutions when you first posted about this:

Is that the complete error message? I'd hazard to guess that it points to a
problem on terranews' end, not OE's. Try accessing the newsgroup using
another newsserver.

Try using this news server on port 119:

news.readfreenews.net

It hosts the alt.binaries.fonts newsgroups and has more than 8100 messages
on it as of today.

Comment: There have been other recent posts in OE newsgroups about similar
problems using Terranews.
