I've notice that my version 6.0.2800.1106 is a huge resource hog.
After several days without rebooting or restarting OE, I've noticed that OE has gobbled thousands of Windows handles and objects (I used taskinfo from http://www.iarsn.com to see this) It is by far the biggest hog on my system. Is there a newer version for Win 2K? |

Visit the Windows Update page to get the latest updates for your system.
Download and install all updates marked as Critical and make sure you antivirus program is completely disabled before doing the installation, unless you think that Microsoft is going to somehow pass virus infected files onto your system. Seriously though, having an antivirus program running in the background during an install of updates can seriously corrupt the install, resulting in major problems. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Visit Windows Updates. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only.
