Default Group-backup names-how to?

OE: 6.00.2900.2180 (XPsp_XP2rtm.040803-2158
XP: home with all updates

I have successfully exported a friend's OE address Book to her hard
drive, and copied it to a floppy. File was *.csv.
I noticed that each of her group's names are not so noted in the
resultant backup address book: her question is: If she loses her
address book and backs it up satisfactorily, is there an easy way to
reconstuct who goes in which group?

For my backup, I use ABF OE backup, without another method - I will
suggest that she purchases same. Please advise. tia

Create a "standalone" WAB file:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/wab.htm#wabexe

Then open your default address book to the group desired and select all
member of the group and copy them to the clipboard (Ctrl+A selects all,
Ctrl+C copies them to the clipboard). Then open your "standalone" WAB file
and paste the contacts into that file (you will have to hit the Enter key to
OK each entry but it beats typing) and then either copy that wab file to a
floppy disc or export it as CSV file. Otherwise, folders and groups neither
import, nor export.

You might consider OEQB (www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/) in conjunction with
OETool (www.oehelp.com/OETool/) instead. Both are free and they give you
the capability of backing up all OE settings and messages with a single
button click to 3 levels of redundancy.
