I use windows xp professional and lately when I am using the internet,
the wireless connection will suddenly terminate. There is no error message and my pc does not shut down. the internet connection just disconnects. I then have to go in and make another connection. Is there a setting or something I am unaware of that needst to be reset? Please help. It is very frustrating and since there has been no error message I can't figure out what is wrong. |

Try posting in a networking group. You should also specify the make/model
of computer, the make/model of wireless card; whether the problem occurs only when the machine wakes from hibernation or standby, or is just random. Also whether you have checked with the manufacturer of the wireless card to see if any drivers have been updated for that card. Do not install any drivers for your network card from the Windows Update site unless they are the only drivers available for your card. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. <cheneyjg@ldsces.org> wrote in message news:1134073983.341703.64410@g44g2000cwa.googlegro ups.com... >I use windows xp professional and lately when I am using the internet, > the wireless connection will suddenly terminate.
