Default Restoring OE after hard drive replacement

It was necessary to replace my hard drive. It's been a tedious job but
just about everything (hopefully) has been restored except OE from the
auxiliary drive I (thankfully) bought recently.

When I start OE I get the screen for a new user. How do I restore my
old OE set up which includes a myriad of message folders, archived
messages, message rules and my address book?

Thanks,
Bob

Is the drive still connected to the computer?

You can locate the message stores (DBX files) on the old drive then use:

File | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 | Import mail from an
OE6 sotre directory.
Press Next then press the BROWSE button.
Navigate to the folder on the old drive, select it, then press OK
Finish up the import.

Only mail will be imported, no news messages but there are ways to get
around that should it be neccessary but they will become mail messages
instead.

Address Book will just be File | Import | Address Book
then navigate to the old WAB file and finish the import of it.
