Default Hotmail & OE6

This thing where OE will no longer let you use your Hotmail account unless
you've signed up to Hotmail Plus, does it still allow you to retrieve your
hotmail email??? I haven't signed up to Plus, but am still recieving Hotmail
email but can no longer send Hotmail via OE. Is this how it is from now on??

Account holders who were/had been accessing their Hotmail account in OE as
of (24) Sept-04 continue to have such access grandfathered without having to
subscribed to Hotmail Plus.

If you can Receive but not Send and this is sudden, new behavior, there's a
problem on either Hotmail's end or yours. Please post any error messages
you're getting in their entirety.

Thanks PA Bear,

I've had Hotmail & been accessing via OE for well prior to Sept '04...

The error message that pops up after a progress bar shows sending of mail
but then it fails with

The server does not support the required HTTP methods. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Method Not Allowed', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCC35

This has only started since about early Dec '05 with no problems before
that.

Thanks P A Bear that worked.

I already allowed cookies but IE6 is still refusing them & I've posted in
that group re that problem. But I typed in the sites hotmail.com as you
suggested and am able to send again from the two identities used on this PC.

Many thanks

Tony P

YW & thanks for posting back. If you must make identical posts to multiple
newsgroups, please cross-post one (1) message to all of them. Thank you.
