Default Problems clicking addresses in e-mails

Hi!

Whenever I click an e-mail address someone has included in an e-mail, my
machine throws up about 60+ black windows, instead of a new message window.

Why is this?

In the options menu, it says OE is not the default mail handling program,
but whenever I set it to default, it reverts back to not default immediately.

I have some components of Office 97 installed, but I don't think Outlook was
one of them. Could it be a conflict of programmes, and if so how do I fix
this?

Thanks for any help!

FS

The symptom you see is caused by the default mail program not properly
being set.

Work through the fixes listed here:
