Hello all...
Just recently installed a new disk and after installing all of my software, was successful in moving over all of my mail files from the old disk (which is still attached). The problem I have now is, I can't find the Address Book file (*.wab). I've done searches on the old disk with no luck. Yes, the folder option has been changed to see all hidden files and folders (reason I was able to find the location of my *.dbx files). A search for *.wab results in nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just too many to manually put them in by hand. BTW: XP Professional with IE6 & OE - with majority of updates installed. -- Jim "What we know is minuscule to what we don't know..." |

Address Book: Help > About will reveal its location.
In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org Jim wrote: > Hello all... > > Just recently installed a new disk and after installing all of my > software, was successful in moving over all of my mail files from the > old disk (which is still attached). > > The problem I have now is, I can't find the Address Book file > (*.wab). I can attest to the fact that this group and Windowsxp.setup_deployment is monitored by folk from Microsoft; glad that you're here. -- Jim "What we know is minuscule to what we don't know..." |

YW. MS MVPs are not Microsoft employees. Like everyone else here, we're volunteers. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com -- ~PA Bear |
