I used to be able to delete any newsgrop message in OE6.
either from the Local Folders or from the Microsoft newsgroups, using the Delete key. I recently reloaded my machine and I now find that I can still delete messages in the Local Folders but not in the MS newsgroups. How can I restore my ability to delete news messages? |

OE. [DTS] Thanks for your prompt reply - it worked. The strange thing is that the machine has been on Automatic Update since the rebuild two weeks ago but it never got around to downloading IE6 SP1 until I forced to issue, following your advice. |

Do it manually every second Tuesday of the month and be sure to disable your anti virus' auto scan before installing *anything*, including updates. Alias |

AutoUpdate takes its time so that it doesn't interfere with what else you're doing. I'd do it manually. First do SP1 (SP2 if you have WinXP) and then go back and see what else is offered. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup only.
