Hi,
Acting on advice I've seen in this NG I do not use my Inbox and Sent Items to archive mail, but move those I want to keep to another folder for safety. This is fine with Inbox mail, but when I move Sent Mail into "Old sent mail" it is listed with the first column "FROM". Since all of the items are sent by me, the whole column lists only my name, making it more difficult to locate a specific message I've sent. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to list the messaages in that folder by "TO" as it is in the real Sent Items folder? Using Win XP, OE6. Thanks, ...... Fred |

Old Sent Items is a local folder you created, I presume? The best you can do
is to Right Click on the Columns bar and select Customize. Select To and Move Up above From. This will change it in some other folders as well, so it is up to you if you want to do this. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "bayskater" <efhunter@nospamcomcast.net> wrote in message news:OPQRI%23RBGHA.2920@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > Hi, > Acting on advice I've seen in this NG I do not use my Inbox and Sent Items > to archive mail, but move those I want to keep to another folder for > safety. > This is fine with Inbox mail, but when I move Sent Mail into "Old sent > mail" it is listed with the first column "FROM". I add a To field to the far right.

Thanks Bruce and Ron.
While following Bruce's suggestion and mulling over whether it would be worth having all of the mail folders set up listing the TO addresses just to get the "Old Sent Mail" folder the way I want it, it occured to me to just add a TO column way over on the far right, instead of moving the TO up. Feeling pretty proud of myself I returned to this NG to find that Ron was suggesting the same solution. I appreciate both replies and my problem is solved.
