Suddenly Outlook Express is not automatically downloading attachments in
newsgroups. Instead, I have to click on the paperclip to view the attachment. How can I get Outlook Express to automatically download the attachments? |

Hi shadow6,
Doing some guessing here, but you may have OE set to read messages in plain text, which will prevent graphic files from being displayed in the message body, and other files in a Rich Text (HTML) message. If there is a paperclip then you already downloaded the attachments. Attachments are floating around somewhere separate of the message. Attachments are *in* the message, so when you download the message then you also have whatever was in it and that includes the sections within to demark the attachment. There is something ELSE you want OE to do that you are not asking about. -- __________________________________________________ Post replies to the newsgroup - Share with others. Thanks. It worked. I wish I knew how that box got checked in the first
place. Best wishes to you and Happy Holidays! With Windows a setting can change as if by magic. This is sometimes
attributed to gremlins. <g> Have a great holiday week! -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "shadow6" <shadow6@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EE53BB43-A966-453D-8235-88A2BB7698D0@microsoft.com...
