Default Outlook Express without admin rights in Windows 2000

Hello everybody,
I have worked as administrator with Outlook. Now I would like to work as
user without admin rights, but I get the message. Outlook cannot load
msoe.dll. Is it possible to arrange settings for Windows 2000 for the work
with Outlook as "normal" user?
Thanks for every idea.
Mario

Post the complete error message. It may have nothing to do with User rights.

The message (translated from german): OE could not start because MSOE.DLL
could not load.
There is no more and no less. OE Vers. 6.00.2800.1123
If I change the rights to administrative OE works fine. If I create a new
account for normal user, the same
message. If I create a new account with admin rights, it works fine

That suggests either a corrupted message store or the message store is not
found in the proper location referenced in the registry. See if these links
help fix it:

Yes, they helped. I reinstalled OE. The first time Norton AntiVirus was
active and I suppose that was the reason the problem occured again. I
reinstalled OE the second time with NAV closed. Afterwards OE works fine.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the feedback and antivirus software should
always be shut down when installing updates or any Microsoft program to
avoid corrupting the files.

General OE Caveats:

- Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

- Empty Deleted Items folder daily.

- Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform a manual
compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm.

- Do not attempt to close OE via Task Manager or shutdown your machine if
Automatic Compacting is taking place (WinXP SP2 only).

- Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
