Default removed user account emails

Dear All,

Would I be able to get back my OE emails if I deleted my XP username and
re-created a same username? Thanks.

Louis

As long as you don't delete files and folders for that account you can
import them into the new user account.

What I would do first is create a folder on the C: drive and name it Mail.
From OE, click on Tools | Accounts | Maintenance tab then press the Store
Folders button. Click the Change button and navigate to the C:\Mail folder
(note this must absolutely be created before moving).

Once done, close OE then restart. OE will let you know it is moving the
messages to C:\Mail.

Create the new one, import the mail.

Now delete the account.

Why risk it?

1. Create the new User Profile and configure your email account(s) in OE in
that Profile.

2. Now import the data from your OE identity in the original Profile. (See
below)

3. Now delete the original Profile, if you wish.

If it's Win2K or WinXP then DBXpress (www.oehelp.com) in disk mode will
probably recover most of them.
