If you tell us the *entire* error message, we might be able to help. Without
it, we would just be guessing, and there are many error messages. Please post it in its entirety. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Theresa Lawler" <K116@bellsouth.net> wrote in message news:%23I3TpBqCGHA.336@TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... > whenever I try to send an email I get a error message about pop3 > |

Close OE and move the Inbox.dbx to an empty Windows folder. OE will build a new, empty Inbox when you start it again. You can extract the messages from the old Inbox.dbx with a program like DBXpress: ($25) http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx buy I'm afraid it's going to take days and it's best to leave the computer alone during the process. In the future, don't store messages in the default OE folders; move them to user created folders as soon as possible and don't let those DBX files get much over 100 MB. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup. And what is your error message? Seems that people are afraid to post it.

That error usually indicates temporary problems on Hotmail's end. Until
it's fixed, access your Hotmail account at www.hotmail.com. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE, Shell/User, Security), Aumha.org VSOP, DTS-L.org manjitmars@gmail.com wrote: > Theresa Lawler wrote: > > whenever I try to send an email I get a error message about pop3 > > Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server.
