Hi
When trying to send photos to my son, I get an e-mail saying Internet Mail

He & I both use OE6
I am sending compressed files and only 4 photos at a time. We both have new
computers running WIN XP
Can someone help us out please.

Thats the server telling you that it's too many in the mail box or too big
or similar.

Some ISP's have a limit on the size of th emailbox and there may be more
than it can hold.

It's not an OE problem. The server is just reporting back the problem and OE
is displaying it.

If he's leaving mail on the server, that could be the problem, tell him to
clear it out and others may be seeing the same error message.

Hi Ninip,

This message means the (server) mail box is full. Assuming it is a POP3
account, your son may be leaving messages on the server, and not allowing
messages to be deleted when mail is downloaded to Outlook Express.

He could check the setting to leave messages on the server.

OE Tools, Accounts, Account Properties, Advanced tab

If messages are left on the server limit the number days they are held.

Have your son cleanup his mailbox. It is full.

In all likelihood, your son has his mail reader set to leave the message on
the server and his mailbox on the server has filled up to it's limit. He
will need to empty some of its contents.

Look in your Sent Items folder for one of your sent messages? How large
does it say it is?

You may be exceeding the message size limit for your son's ISP. For
some ISP's this is a little as 1 MB.

Or you may be exceeding the limit for his server mail box for the total
of all messages still on the server. For some ISP's this can be as
little as 5 to 10 MB.

For example, if the message size limit is 1 MB and the server mail box
limit is 5 MB, each message you send must be under 1 MB. And if perhaps
they are 0.9 MB each, you could send no more than 5 messages before your
son must logon and download the messages deleting them from the server.
This assumes that no one else is sending him large messages (or a lot of
spam).
