When I start up IE 6.0, It should bring up the dial-up connection box, but it
does not. It has the spinning world icon running, but will not connect. In the option box, connection tab, it is check for "always dial my default connection" The connection does work because you can dial up the connection before and it will work. I do not know what is set incorrect? -- each life need it own quiet place. |

I don't know if they would override a dial-up connection; I expect that all three of the checkboxes should be clear. -- Norman ~Oh Lord, why have you come ~To Konnyu, with the Lion and the Drum |

What is your ISP? Does it use it's own Portal or browser software to initiate an internet connection, such as AOL, Netzero, Juno, etc...
1. There may be a setting in these ISP browsers/portals to link it with IE. 2. It might be necessary to install the ISP's software to make the connection. You may not be able to set up the DUN connection manually. -- Add MS to your News Reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com Rich/rerat (RRR News) <message rule> <<Previous Text Snipped to Save Bandwidth When Appropriate>> "shadow-bd" <shadowbd@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2A8BED9F-6A7B-455B-A4E1-E96E89D739A1@microsoft.com...
