Internet Explorer has enountered a problem, HELP!

Everytime I close IE I get the following message: Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. I click on the link for
information and get:

Error signature
AppName:ieplore.exe AppVer. 6.0.2900.2180 ModName:
shdocvw.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2805 Offset: 00018d20

I can view the error report but I can't report it. I cannot find help
anywhere about this error. Can someone help me?

Also, I get popups everytime I click a link. My popups are disabled and I
have run every spyware and virus scan possible.
