Default Pasting Word 03 Doc in OLE

I'm on an XPP SP2 box. I'm using Word from MOS 03. I know that I can paste
my Word Doc into an OL 03 Email or Send to OL or even paste into One Note
with no formatting distortion, but I want to better under stand why OLE
gives me trouble if I try to paste it into a Create Mail space. I had
trouble centering a title page to a document, because any format option I
used (Paragraph, Increase Indent, Decrease Indent did not work, and screwed
up my document's formatting--so I went back to paragraph to get the body of
the doc to the original but still could not get the title page centered.
Unlike Word mail or Word, there does not seem to be a way to set margins for
the title page.

I also got an active x not activated formatting may be distorted message,
but active X is working.

I would appreciate any advice. as to how to center or extend the margins in
OLE.

Tia,

Chad Harris

Margins, at least for printing, are controlled by IE.

Outlook Express uses the same print engine as Internet Explorer.

For print size: IE>View>Text Size>Make adjustment.

For margins: IE>File>Page Setup. (Default setting is 0.75 all around).

But I have the same problem using Word Perfect. The solution for me is to
save as a PDF file. Doing that should resolve the problem.

I don't have either product but suspect the problem is that you are both
pasting source content in one format (e.g. RTF) and expecting it to be
converted equivalently into another format (HTML).

Does that actually happen? E.g. what does it look like in the source tab
after a paste? OE doesn't even have a Paste Special command
so perhaps you just get the text stripped of all formatting instructions?
or, even more problematic, a representation of the formatting instructions
in text using (for example, especially in the case of a centering instruction)
the necessary number of spaces or tabs to shift the title more or less
into the center of the current line size?

Have you tried making any necessary HTML edits in the Source tab
instead?
