Default Is there any way to 'REMOVE' unwanted e-mail address?

Hi:
I did create a second e-mail address by using both, 'Internet' and
calling my Internet provider.

After having called my ISP and created another 'brand new' e-mail address
this morning,
I want to 'remove' e-mail address created yesterday. Because, I need just
'two'
so far, ... plus an e-mail address that created yesterday without asking my
ISP does not
work.
There are 'three' identities, but I need just 'two.' Then, I did as follow;

(1) file - Manage Identities
(2) click, Remove (for e-mail address I created yesterday, because it does
NOT work)
(3) Delete
The word appearing inn the middle of screen, however, 'INCORRECT' password,
although I typed
the 'correct' password which I created yesterday for this. Even I tried
more than five times, it still
NOT able to 'remove' an e-mail address I created yesterday without telling
my ISP.

Is there any way to 'remove' this 'unwanted' e-mail address from the
box/managing IDs?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You have to be in a different identity to remove the one you want to remove.
However, that does not remove the account. Go to Tools | Accounts | Mail and
Remove it there.

Dear Mr. B. Hagen:

Thanks for your quick response. I really appreciate your concern over
this.

However, there are just 'two,' which is my old/main and a brand new
e-mail addresses in the Box, 'Accounts.'
The e-mail address I created yesterday is NOT there,
Tool>Accounts?Mail>Remove.

A guy of my ISP said, without a proper 'password,' there is NO way
to remove the e-mail address that I created yesterday. Then, I explained
that I typed the correct password in the box. It appears to me that there
is NO way to remove this, an un-wanted e-mail address?

Thanks again if there is a 'magic' tool to this.

Click File | Identities | Switch Identities and see if the new one is an
option. If it is, switch to it and then go to Tools | Accounts and remove
it.

If this is not the case, then the Identity was never created properly.

Go to Start | Run | Regedit | OK | HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Identities. Open each
identity until you find the one you want to remove, (you will see the
account user name in the right pane). Right click on the identity in the
left pane | Delete.

Default Re: Is there any way to 'REMOVE' unwanted e-mail address?

Dear Mr. B. Hagen:

Thank VERY much for your concern!

There are 7(seven) as follows;

(1) Default REG-SZ (value not set)
(2) Defalut User ID REG-SZ {E00..........}
(3) Identify ordinal REG-SZ
(4) Last User ID REG-SZ {E00.........}
(5) Last User ID REG-SZ Main Identify
(6) Migrated 5 REG-DWORD Ox......
(7) Start As REG-SZ {E........}

I have NO clue which one I should delete, because this is
VERY new to me, then I need your help in order to 'delete'
appropriately.

Thanks again for your response.

Mali,

This looks like the info in the right pane for *one* identity. How many do
you have in the left pane under Identities? This one is your Main Identity
which I doubt is the one you just created.

Click on the other identities until you see the user name for the one you
just created where this one says Main Identity and then delete the identity
in the left pane.

Default I found one, ... but I want to 'make sure' before doing

Hi:
Thanks again.

There are 3(three) identities.
(1) First one is a 'brand new' e-maill addres with user's name in the
bottom.
(2) Second one is an e-mail address which I created yesterday, with user's
name in the bottom.
(3) Third one is an e-mail address which is 'Main Identify' with user's name
in the bottom.

Then, it IS a second one I should/can 'delete.'

Sorry, ... but before doing something 'unfamiliar', I would like to make
'sure' not to lose anything intentionally/un-intentionaly.

Thanks for your help. I feel SO grateful to have found this site and got a
help
I need SO badly.

Thanks for your response, again.

Mali. ....

Sounds like you've got it right. If the second one shows the user name you
used in the account you want to remove, then go ahead and right click on
that identity in the *left* pane and click Delete.

Default Thanks, ... I did DELETE it and now just 'two'

Dear Mr. B. Hagen (MS MVP - Outlook Express):

Yes, ... I did DELETE a second one and afterwards I click 'Switch
Identify.'

There is NO longer user's name of the second e-mail in the box.

Such a GREAT relief! I am SO happy seeing just 'two' user's names,
one for 'Main ID' and another for 'a second one' that I created this
morning.

My gratitude is more than word I can express at this time.

Thanks again.
You are so terrific, caring and first of all VERY proficient on Outlook
Express.
Sounds to me like you've been working, or did work in this field, e-mail
related field or computer-related program as a professional.

If there is a book/reference you're writing, I must be one of VERY first
perons to purchase and learn about e-mail/O.E. and computer.

Many thanks for the time you spent helping/answering the difficult question
I asked on this board.

Have a VERY great day!

Mali,...

Sorry, ... I was SO hurry letting you know, then I mistakenly put the
post above in someone else' place.
