I am facing a big time problem, tried a loads of configurations but I am
feeling help less now. I am trying to dial a phone number of my contact using OE Address book. Right click contact> Action> dial. The number is dialed> is connected but I can't hear the contacts voice, where as the contact can hear me. I also tried this dialing my Mobile Phone but the same result. I am using a In-built SmartLink 56 K modem. I also have a broadband. But never worked with that. I am using a Planetronics USB Head set. I also tried this with a normal phone jack head set. Cannot hear the contact's voice using my desktop speakers. I have tested the head set using the Sound Hardware Test Hardware Wizard. I have done all neccessary configuration in the Phone Dialer> Edit> Options> Audio/Video. This feature works in my Hewlett-Packard windows 95 with no problems. But in other windows xp systems (2 desktops and one notebook), it doesn't work. If I use Skype while on broadband it works. Please tell me what to do. |

Normally with the phone dialer, all it does is dial. You are then to
pick up the real phone connected to the same line as the modem. You do not talk through the PC. To talk through the PC, the modem would have to provide that feature. Check the modem manual and see if it offers that. If it does, you may have to run some special software included with the modem. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Akshay" <Akshay@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 581F380-F426-4B80-8AF8-3AB0240BBE39@microsoft.com...>I am facing a big time problem, tried a loads of configurations but I >am > feeling help less now. > > I am trying to dial a phone number of my contact using OE Address > book. > Right click contact> Action> dial.
