I've reverted back to WMP 9 as well.
If we can make requests here, I would like the auto-scroll to playing track implemented in the next version too. I don't like Windows Media Player 10 because the Library View doesn't jump to playing track. There's no way to get it to jump automatically to the track being played on the "All Music" view. [The jumping to the playing track on the 'Now Playing' view is no good because you can't see as many columns in this view (and therefore can't quickly edit the id3 tags).] Rob "Chris Lanier [MVP]" wrote: > Okay, I keep hearing this but either I don't understand the real problem, or > it's just not reproducing on my end. > > Here's what I'm doing to re-create the issue. > --In the Library in select a playlist from 'My Playlists' > --Right click | Play > --Enable Shuffle > --I'm now in All Music in the Library > --Current song playing is 'Hotel California' > --'Hotel California' is highlighted under All Music and the Now Playing Pane > in the Library view > --Press 'Next' once in Library view > --Current song playing is 'The Girl From Yesterday' > --'The Girl From Yesterday' is highlighted under All Music and the Now > Playing Pane in the Library view > > --Switch to the Now Playing tab > --'The Girl From Yesterday' is highlighted and playing still > --Switch back to Library tab and 'The Girl From Yesterday' is highlighted > under All Music > > --Scrolled to end of the Library > --Press 'Next', Library stays at the end and does not move to the current > playing song (Because I scrolled myself in the Library)* > --Still at the end of my Library > --Switch to Now Playing tab > --Switch back to Library tab and 'The Girl From Yesterday' is now > highlighted. > > *Is this what you are seeing, or something else? > > -- > Chris Lanier - http://www.msmvps.com/chrisl/ > > NOTE: Replies are to help benefit others in helping > you and reproducing issues, not necessarily for me > to get back to you. > --- > "Alex" <news_1@alexulbricht.com> wrote in message > news:O$SV1GGxEHA.4004@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > > Recently upgraded from WMP9 to WMP 10, and the feature I miss the most is > > that 10 does not jump to the currently playing song in the Library.
