Default Desktop shortcut Created

I am creating a ghost image of a Windows XP SP2 w/Windows Media Player 10
and after imaging a desktop shortcut is created for all users that login to
the Computer to Windows Medial Player. As a side note the player is actually
named as if I branded it with our organization's name instead of Windows
Media Player.

It looks like there used to be a way to disable this in previous versions of
Media Player using group policy, although I did not have this behavior with
the prior version of media player we were using, is there a way for me to do
so in version 10?

Any help greatly appreciated
James

You're turning desktop shortcuts on, and this is a side effect of that. If
you leave the desktop clean, this won't show up.
Since this isn't actually being created by unregmp2.exe (which normally
handles WMP shortcuts) but rather by the system in response to desktop
with/without icons, I'm unaware of a bypass here.
