Fails with WM Player 9 and 10. Reinstalled latest version of WM Player 10.
Running WIn XP Home with latest updates. The CD plays just fine. Just can't rip. Bummer. I installed iTunes and it rips the CD just fine. This looks like a problem with WM Player. Sure would like to get it working but I am at an impass here. I'm using an LG 4163 DVD/CD drive which I believe to be highly rated. My system is a Soyo with a P4VTP system board and VIA chipset. -- Emery |

What format are you ripping to according to WMP's Tools:Options, and what exact error do you get? -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. The message that I keep getting is "Windows Media Player encountered an
inknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the player." This just started showing up maybe a few weeks ago. What should I do aabout it? That's not really enough to go on. =) What error code number do you get? It sounds like you're getting 0xc00d11cd, which means nothing. http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#isolate -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
